Christian Holder, the son of painter and dancer Boscoe Holder had recently passed in his mid-seventies. Holder had many talents. He was a dancer, choreographer, writer, and actor, among other titles. Reporters were informed by a family member that Holder was late for a rehearsal on February 18, 2025, which his coworkers thought was odd because he was typically on time.
They subsequently found out, though, that he had passed away at home in England. Holder recently posted on Facebook on February 11th, promoting Christian Holder: Songs and Stories, his event that will take place on April 27. New York was to host the event.
Over the years, he collaborated with several ballet companies, most notably the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago.
On Facebook, the dancing troupe paid homage to the “celebrated artist,” the post stated, “May his memory live on the stage and in the hearts of all who cherish dance. His artistry and passion will forever inspire us.”

Esta Charkham, a British television and movie producer, wrote on Facebook that Holder was “a giant of the dance and art worlds and, more recently, a successful director of film and theatre. A life well lived and loved.”
Several performers from the US and the UK also posted on social media about their recollections of him.
Patricia Bissessar, administrator of the Angelo Bissessarsingh Virtual Museum of T&T, said her family was shocked by the news. In agreement, she referred to him as a “wonderful artist.”
“My father would be so touched and proud!” she remarked, referring to the fact that her family had purchased Holder’s father’s house on Woodford Street in Port of Spain to preserve it.
She posted on the popular social media platform Facebook, “The Bissessarsingh family joins with the rest of the world in mourning the loss of a talented son of the soil in the fields of dance, theatre and the visual arts…May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
