Kingston and his mother, 61-year-old Janice Turner, were taken into police custody following a raid at their Florida residence last month. They face charges of fraud, grand theft, identity theft, and other related offenses.
According to a previous report by NBC 6 South Florida, the raid was linked to a lawsuit filed by an attorney alleging that Kingston had failed to pay for certain items.
The accusations against the rapper and his mother include defrauding banks and businesses of thousands of dollars worth of furniture and jewelry. Turner was reportedly released from jail after posting a $160,000 bond last Tuesday.
His attorney intends to file a not-guilty plea and will request a jury trial.
