Recently, the Prime Minister met at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, with high-ranking US military officials and representatives of the Central Intelligence Agency to discuss security matters (CIA).
Dr. Rowley met with top US military commanders, including Daniel Erikson, the deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Western Hemisphere, and US Deputy Under Secretary of Defense Melissa Dalton, according to a statement released by the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) on January 30, 2024.

The conversation included a wide range of topics, such as cyber defense and security, border security, collaboration with the Delaware National Guard, and regional marine interdiction.
Following these discussions, Rowley and his group traveled to Langley, Virginia, the home of the CIA, to meet with William Burns, the agency’s director.
Rowley’s companions at these discussions included Defense Force Chief of Staff Air Vice-Marshal Darryl Daniel, Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister Dr. Amery Browne, and Minister in the OPM Stuart Young.
In Washington, DC, the team had meetings with US Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
A major topic of conversation with Blinken was the Caribbean’s gun trafficking and violent crime.
