The archbishop of Port-au-Prince notified a major news outlet that the two other persons and six nuns who were abducted in Haiti last week had been freed.
All members of the group were discharged late, although Archbishop Max Leroy Mésidor reported that everyone was in good health.

“Thanks to God for helping us,” he expresses.
He refused to comment on whether the ransom was paid or to reveal any further information, such as the identity of the perpetrator.
Religious authorities harshly criticized the government in a letter in response to the most recent high-profile kidnapping, pointing out that it was doing little to stop the increase in gang-related violence in Haiti.
