In today’s society, domestic violence remains a significant issue affecting millions of people worldwide. Victims often feel powerless and trapped, unsure of how to protect themselves. That’s where the WeFightBack Organization comes in. WeFightBack is a grassroots collective dedicated to empowering domestic violence survivors by instilling confidence and essential life skills.

“We understand that domestic violence survivors need resources and a supportive community that truly understands their struggles,” says MarieDriven, a public figure and survivor who will co-host the event alongside fitness trainer Seguy Narcisse. Victims of domestic violence face unique challenges when seeking help, including fear of retaliation, social stigma, and lack of support resources.
WeFightBack aims to address these challenges by offering a free and inclusive space for survivors to learn and grow. “When I attended my first class with WeFightBack, I felt welcomed and empowered. These classes helped me regain my confidence and start a new chapter in my life,” shares an anonymous participant.
WeFightBack not only impacts individual participants but also the broader community by inspiring others to take control of their lives and fight against abuse. Kristen Evans, a domestic violence survivor and spokesperson for the organization, shares, “This program has made me physically and mentally stronger. I am now capable of protecting both myself and my children.” As WeFightBack looks towards the future, their goal is to expand their support network beyond boxing classes and increase community outreach, providing vital resources to survivors. They hope to create an environment where people feel secure, resilient, and capable of reclaiming their lives.
“WeFightBack plans to open self-defense workshops for individuals of all ages and experience levels. Our ultimate objective is to create a global movement that eradicates abuse, uplifts survivors, and ensures personal safety for all,” explains Seguy Narcisse, fitness trainer and advocate. With their progressive approach to ending domestic violence and their commitment to empowering survivors, WeFightBack is making a tangible difference in many lives. Their innovative programs, such as the upcoming boxing classes, continue to provide a safe space for healing, learning, and growth.
