The 9 Shots singer known as Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has disclosed that he declined a $3 million deal to play at a Madison Square Garden event for former President Donald Trump. He clarified that he received an invitation to support Trump during his presidential campaign. He said, “I got a call; they wanted me for Sunday,” alluding to the forthcoming occasion.
WBLS claims that Jackson quickly turned down the offer, which included performing his hit song “Many Men (Wish Death)” at the rally. This wasn’t Jackson’s first run with politics; earlier in the year, he was invited to perform at the Republican National Convention, where he acknowledged that he had been offered $3 million, underscoring the gravity of the offer. Jackson refused, sticking to his position that he should avoid political endorsements.

Jackson explained his dislike of politics by saying, “You know, I’m terrified of politics. I dislike every aspect of it. He believes that public participation in politics elicits significant responses. He emphasized how readily political connections may lead to confrontation by stating, “No matter your stance, someone will passionately disagree with you.” Jackson would rather stay away from the mayhem and conflict that frequently accompany political endorsements, even in the face of alluring offers.
In addition, the rapper advised avoiding other contentious subjects. “I stay away from religion and politics,” he declared, noting that these topics frequently cause miscommunication and negative reactions. Jackson remarked, “That’s what sent Kanye to Japan,” referencing his friend Kanye West’s trip. He stated that after discussing both, Kanye is now limited to traveling to Japan.
After the hosts teased that Vice President Kamala Harris would be joining the conversation, 50 Cent jokingly objected, asking, “Why are you pulling me into this? I thought we were cool.” His humorous reply reaffirmed his resolve to avoid becoming involved in politics.
