QUEENS BOROUGH PRESIDENT'S AFRICAN AMERICAN HERITAGE COMMITTEE HONOR PATRICIA CHIN WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Patricia Chin , CEO VP Records, was honored by the Queen Borough President Melinda Katz's African American Heritage Committee with a lifetime achievement award recently.
Held at the Helen Marshall Center at the Queens Borough Hall in Kew Gardens, NY, the celebration was held during their annual Black History Month Celebration. The celebration, an acknowledgement of the rich history of the African American People and the challenges they face, began with an invocation by Pastor John H. Boyd, II and the National Anthem of the United States and "Lift Every Voice and Sing" sung by Regina Wilson of the FDNY.
Master of Ceremonies, Andrew P. Jackson then began his introduction followed by Melinda Katz.
The event included performances by Kiana Newell, The Devore Dance Center, Alexis Marie Wint, Ms. Tonika Custalow Stuart with Keynote Remarks by Reverend Dr. Leslie Mullings.
Scholarship awards were given to 12 students from various Queens high schools and the 2018 awardees included Dr. Ola Akinboboye, Dwight Leland Johnson, Thomas Crater, Jr., Harriet Diaz, Harold Dow and Michelle Stoddart along with Patricia Chin.
The event ended with networking and light refreshments.
